This just a thank you to them for the hard work they put in this year. I know that I am demanding and push them to do more than they think they can. I believe that they are capable of so much--this my reward to them for not giving up and stepping up to the goals we set.

Mrs. Karen Richau - 5th Grade

I was born in raised in St. Louis, but have lived in Buffalo, NY, Rochester, NY, Lexington, KY, and Boston, MA. I have taught in both public and Catholic Schools.

The majority of my experience has been in grades six through eight, but during my four years in Rochester I had the opportunity to teach Gifted Education in twenty-seven schools. This afforded me the opportunity to work in grade levels kindergarten through six and in all subject areas.

I obtained my Bachelor and Masters degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in English from Southeast Missouri State University. Eight years ago I received my license from the State of New York in Gifted Education.

I now reside in St. Peters while my husband, Mike, lives in Atlanta, GA. Although we are apart during the week, we have decided that I will stay until I retire. I got a new puppy, Sammie, a Cavalier King Charles spaniel to keep me company.

I truly believe that I am blessed. I have chosen a career that has brought me much joy and happiness. Not a day goes by that I am not happy to go to my job and be with the children. I will work daily to help your children become the best that they can be and life-long learners.
