Exciting Projects

All of the students in the school are working on a very exciting fundraising project. Each student is creating a picture on an 8 1/2 by 8 1/2 inch piece of paper which will then be sent to Square 1 Art, where they will scan them into their computers. Parents and family members will then be able to order a wide variety of items with their student’s amazing artwork. More details will be coming soon.

Attention, Attention!!!

The students of All Saints are in need of used light bulbs. Every year the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students make Christmas ornaments out of used light bulbs. We are in need of more for this year. Please have your student bring them to me in the Art Room. This is also a great way to recycle and reuse the light bulbs that no longer work. Thank you.

The students and I have several exciting and creative projects we are working on currently. The students’ enthusiasm and originality is amazing. I am very happy to see them learn the new techniques, artists and styles and then apply them in their own work.

It’s great to be back!

I would like to thank all of the students, their parents and guardians, faculty and staff of All Saints for your prayers and support for my wife Laura and myself. We feel so blessed to be in a community and school where we feel so loved. Thank you for your generosity and your love.

My grading policy is a little different than the other classes the students are in. I don't believe it is my place to say if a student’s work is "good" or "bad." Each student brings their own likes, dislikes, experiences and emotions. Art should always be fun and is a wonderful expression of one's individuality. But that freedom comes with a certain responsibility. The students receive a daily grade based on effort and behavior. At the end of each project they also receive a grade based on their ability to follow the directions given and their ability to work within the style the project is centered around.
